Waterfalls

God is in the waterfalls. They symbolize strength, power, beauty, and can enhance any scenery. They are truly beautiful and showcase God's ability and talent to create something useful and nice to look at. To me, they embody a forceful peace, a roaring quiet. It seems like oxymorons, but they aren't. They hold this sort of awe-inspiring power, and it really makes one stop and stare and reflect a little. Apparently, roses just aren't compelling enough to makes us stop and take a breather, but waterfalls are. They make us appreciate life a little bit more.

Puppies

It's hard not to like puppies. They are cute, cuddly, nibbly, and many other words that end in 'ly'. They are also extremely photogenic, despite their hyper side. However, I think it is their hyper side that makes people fall in love with them. They show an energy for every aspect of their life, which is an extremely unique characteristic for any animal to have. We could learn a lot from puppies, with their forgiving attitude and boundless joy for everything. They have the same childlike nature that God created us with, and continues to remind us of as we progress through life. Even as we grow older, there will always be puppies somewhere to remind us of what Jesus wants us to act like in our attitude towards him.

"Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature." (1 Corinthians 14:20) Although we should have a childlike faith and joy in God, we must be mature in our walk with God and evaluate where to draw the line between our inner child. In short: enjoy puppies and let loose every once in awhile. :)

A New Project

I've never had a blog before, or done a 365 day photography project. I heard about this project from my aunt Becca, and I thought it was a neat idea. The goal is to take 50% self portraits, and 50% other details or subjects in life. I was thinking about this, and decided that I wanted to do this in a way that would glorify God, the maker of everything in life. Since I basically owe him my life and our entire existence, I wanted to blog something that would make people think and share joy with whoever reads it. So I have no idea if I'm going to follow the normal standards for this project, but I do want to put Christ into my everyday life, as well as take at least one picture every day. Happy reading! :D
